The bend is a guitar technique use to transition from one note to another without plucking it again. The idea is to get a first note, bend it up or down to the desired note. Usually, we use our ring finger to bend it up and support it with our middle and index finger. Whole step bends are bending a note up a whole step, meaning two frets up. Half bends are bending a note one fret up.
